Britney Spears spent $3,000 on candy in one afternoon.

The Womanizer singer splashed out the staggering sum at the Sugar Factory, which is located inside Las Vegas’ Mirage hotel, which she visited with sons, Sean Preston, four, and three-year-old Jayden James, and boyfriend Jason Trawick on Sunday.

“She spent about $3,000 and walked out of the store with 10 bags,” revealed a source. “She got a bunch of candy and shirts for her kids and got a bunch of the couture lollipops to give to her back-up dancers.”

Among the items Britney, who was in Las Vegas for the final US show of her Circus world tour, bought were a box of Sugar Factor milk chocolate and 25 $25 lollipops.

After paying for the items the store sent another $2,500-worth of candy to Britney’s room at the Mirage.

Barry Manilow and pop star Lance Bass were in the audience, and Britney spiced up the routine to ‘Breathe On Me’ by singling out Lance for a sizzling lap dance.

She also performed at Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino on Saturday (September 26), as former Spice Girls star Mel B and teen star Miley Cyrus looked on.

Heidi Klum has banned her children from jumping on her pregnant stomach.

The 36-year-old model — who raises three kids with husband Seal, and is expected to give birth to a girl next month — took action as she was concerned her exuberant kids might damage their new sister.

“I had to stop them jumping on my tummy. They don’t really understand there is actually a real human being in there,” she said.

Heidi is excited about the new arrival, and admits become a mother again has encouraged her to think about her parenting responsibilities.

She is determined all her children will get good educations, and she has high hopes for their future careers.

“You want them to stay in school and you want them to have a vision of what they want to be and give them ideas and encourage them,” she added. “I definitely want to get involved and do that, think about job ideas.

“Nowadays children look at everyone in the magazines and they want to be a basketball star or on a television show, but there are only so many people who can do those things. But you still should aim or dream for these things.”

Heidi also lashed out at parents who blame the fashion industry for causing young girls to develop eating disorders.

“You can’t blame other people. It’s your own choice and if you have children, it is up to the parent to educate your children so they are healthy and they don’t go into a direction of anorexia or obesity,” she said.

Kristen Stewart thinks appearing in the Twilight series could have made her a “psychopath”.

The 19-year-old actress — who plays Bella in the vampire film franchise — decided to take on different roles while making the Twilight movies to ensure she didn’t become too immersed in them.

“I think I would have been a psychopath by the end of a four-year stint on the Twilight saga without anything like that to change it up,” said Stewart, who who recently shot Joan Jett biopic The Runaways.

Kristen admits she was unaware how much her life would change when she took on the role of Bella, who falls in love with vampire Edward Cullen, played by Robert Pattinson.

“I have a really strong feeling that this is going to go away, that this is the most intense it’s going to get – and could get – and that it’s fleeting,” she said.

“I’d like to take more walks after work, instead of having to come back to my hotel room and not leave.

“Some nights, I think, ‘You know what? I don’t care. I’m just going to do what I want to do.’ Then the next day I think, ‘Ugh. Now everyone thinks I’m going out to get the attention.’ But it’s like, ‘No, I actually, for a second, thought that maybe I could be like a normal person.’ ”

Ricky Gervais insists lying can be good.

The British comedian — who makes his movie directing debut in new film The Invention of Lying — says not always telling the truth can be beneficial because it makes someone else feel better.

“My mum was dying for about a year, and it was terrible,” he said. “And I always told myself that if she asked, ‘Is there a heaven?’ then I would lie and say, ‘Yes.’ I think it’s a good lie — religion, or at least spirituality and a belief in something else, probably started as a few white lies to comfort even oneself.”

Ricky also revealed he is pleased he waited until he was older before finding success as it enabled him to produce good work.

Speaking about The Office — the hit comedy series which made him a worldwide star — he said, “I’d never tried as hard with anything as I did with The Office, and it was one of the things I’m proud of.

“I wasn’t trying to be famous or a comedian, but this opportunity came along when I was 38 or 39. It came late, and I couldn’t have been prouder of it. I remember saying to my girlfriend, ‘Why didn’t I do this earlier?’ And she said, ‘Well, you wouldn’t have been any good at it.’”

James Franco Lands Role on ABC’s General Hospital

James Franco has a new gig — he’s set to guest star on ABC’s General Hospital, it was confirmed Thursday.

The actor, 31, will play a lengthy, recurring role on the long-running ABC daytime series. His two-month run will begin Nov. 20 — coinciding with November sweeps.

James — who got his start on the small screen in the late ’90s series Freaks and Geeks — will play a mysterious man who comes to the soap opera’s town of Port Charles and wreaks havoc on the life of character.

“[It is] an honor that an actor of Franco’s caliber would choose to spend some of his valuable time in Port Charles,” executive producer Jill Farren Phelps said.

So why is the Pineapple Express actor going back to TV?

“It was actually Franco who approached television exec Jill Farren Phelps about working on the show,” a source told RadarOnline.

“He was interested in exploring all aspects of his craft and wanted to work on a soap opera because of its intense shooting schedule.”

“I’m not a fancy person,” she said. “I love small spaces. I like tiny cars. I don’t buy things, aside from music and books. I don’t get loads of attention and maybe it’s because I’m kind of boring.

“I don’t think I’m boring, but I have different interests. I don’t go out much, not because I’m hiding but because I’m not a big drinker. I go out and have a good time, I go to concerts and stuff.”

But the couple denied rumors of a duff wedding — insisting their nuptials were real.

“It’s crazy how perception works in America when you’re looking at things from the outside,” Odom, 29, said Tuesday.

“Anybody that was there will tell you that it was a beautiful event and it was real.”

Kardashian and Odom — who have been dating for a month — held their ceremony at the LA mansion of Kardashian family friend and music manager Irving Azoff.

David Letterman Reveals Details of Extortion Attempt

David Letterman has revealed that he was the victim of a $2 million extortion attempt — and that he had had sexual relations with female members of his staff.

Three weeks ago Letterman found a package in the backseat of his car left by somebody — believed to be Robert Halderman, a producer for CBS — claiming to have information about sexual activity between the 62-year-old star and employees of his program.

“I get to looking through it and there’s a letter in the package and it says, ‘I know that you do some terrible, terrible things,” Letterman sad on his CBS Late Show Thursday. “And I can prove that you do these terrible things.’ Sure enough, contained in the package was stuff to prove that I do terrible things. He’s going to take all the terrible stuff he knows about my life — and according to this packet, there seems to be a lot of terrible stuff he knows about — and he’s going to put it into a movie unless I give him some money.”

Per his attorney’s advice, the chat show host decided to take action. “This morning, I did something I’ve never done in my life,” Letterman said as the cameras rolled. “I had to go downtown and testify before a grand jury.

“I had to tell them how I was disturbed by this I was worried for myself, I was worried for my family, I felt menaced by this, and I had to tell them all of the creepy things that I have done that were going to be exposed.”

Dave then admitted to having sex with his staff members.

“My response to that is, yes I have,” he said. “Would it be embarrassing if it were made public? Perhaps it would. Especially for the women. But that’s a decision for them to make if they want to come public and talk about the relationships. I feel like I need to protect these people — I need to certainly protect my family.”

Dave has been married to Regina Lasko since March of this year and the two had dated since 1986. They have a 5-year-old son Harry.

“I’m not fond of accents or wigs,” he said. “The kiss thing is not a rule. I just don’t like films where people hate each other, they kiss and the rest is history.

“I’m sitting there screaming, ‘Now, hold on! No, no, no!’ People get drunk and they kiss, but it doesn’t mean anything.”

But Ricky recalls one occasion he wished he had taken more care with his on screen appearance — when he played dentist Dr. Bertram Pincus in Ghost Town.

“Once, a journalist said to me, ‘In your movie, you have the most amazing set of horrible-looking fake teeth.’ I said, ‘No, they are my own teeth.’ He went, ‘No they’re not’,” Ricky added.

“The journalist went red and I said, ‘Don’t worry about it. If you haven’t noticed, I’m English.’”

The 48-year-old star also revealed he only enjoys starring in films he has written because he makes himself laugh so much.

“It’s funny, because if I don’t come up with the idea for a movie, I’m suspicious of it. What excites me the most in coming up with the idea,” he added.

“The creative process is where you find the thrill. Yes, the set is fun, awards are fun and money is nice. But there is nothing more fun than me sitting in a room laughing about what I just said. Nothing comes even close.”

Robert Pattinson isn’t Kristen Stewart’s only pal on the Vancouver, Canada, set of the third Twilight movie Eclipse – she’s actually quite popular, despite reports to the contrary.

It had been claimed — by an Aussie tabloid called Famous — that Kristen has been acting “snobby” and “miserable” and becoming an “outcast” on the set of Eclipse.

“She doesn’t have a friend left on set except for Robert Pattinson,” a source dished.

“Everyone thinks that as Kristen has become more and more famous, she has become arrogant.”

But sources have spoken out to set the record straight — insisting Stewart is neither “snobby” nor “arrogant,” and a rep calls the magazine’s claims “fake.”

Meanwhile, Kristen has revealed she always has to watch what she says when she’s talking publicly — because she’s worried her comments will be “evaluated and analyzed” by her fans and the media.

“There’s an idea about who I am that’s eternally projected onto me, and then I almost feel like I have to fulfill that role,” she told Interview magazine. “Even when things come out of my mouth, I want to be sure I’m saying exactly what I mean.

“All I’m thinking of is the fact that everything that I say is going to be criticized—not criticized, just evaluated and analyzed. And it’s always something that matters so much to me that doesn’t come out right.

John Travolta’s Attorney Warned Extortionist

John Travolta’s attorney warned a former Bahamas senator she wouldn’t get away with blackmailing the actor for $25 million.

Lawyer Michael McDermott told a court in Nassau, in the Bahamas, yesterday how defendant Pleasant Bridgewater demanded the huge sum on behalf of paramedic Tarino Lightbourne, who had treated Travolta’s 16-year-old son Jett after the seizure which killed him.

Lightbourne and Bridgewater are jointly accused of attempting to extort and conspiring to extort by means of threats, charges they both deny.

Travolta has claimed Lightbourne threatened to “imply that the death of my son was intentional and I was culpable in some way” unless he handed over a large sum of money.

Describing the telephone conversation on January 12, McDermott said, “I told her, ‘You are playing a very dangerous game, lady. I do not assent to your demands. I will go to the police.’ ”

Despite threatening the former politician with police involvement, McDermott claims she repeatedly called him with Lightbourne’s demands and said they would accept $15 million in exchange for the Refusal of Transport/Treatment document Travolta had signed.

According to McDermott, Bridgewater said the document was important because “Mr. Travolta either intentionally killed his child or was negligent and that this document is evidence that Mr. Travolta tried to flee the jurisdiction with his child’s dead body.”

McDermott explained to the jury, “She indicated that this figure was the bottom line and she indicated that she was ready to receive the funds. I told her I would get back to her.”

On Wednesday, the Hollywood actor told the courtroom how Lightbourne said he would accuse him of deliberately killing his son unless he was paid.
After contacting Bahamian police — who wired him up in a sting operation — McDermott told Lightbourne his grieving client had agreed to pay $13million over four years for the document.

Their conversation was recorded and tapes submitted to the court as evidence.

McDermott claimed the pair agreed on this amount and that Bridgewater emailed him instructions on where to electronically transfer the money.

The document in question had been signed after both Travolta and paramedics had fought to revive the teenager following his seizure at the family’s Caribbean home on January 2, 2009.

It would have allowed the actor to fly him to a Florida hospital rather than drive 30 miles to their nearest hospital.

The trial continues.

Christina Aguilera’s New Album Will be Amazing — Says Producer

Christina Aguilera is working on her “best album yet”.

The Candyman singer has collaborated with M.I.A., Flo Rida, Le Tigre and Santigold on Light and Darkness, which is being produced by Tricky Stewart, the mastermind behind Rihanna’s Umbrella and Beyonce Knowles’ Single Ladies.

“It’s just great,” Tricky said of the forthcoming record. “I wouldn’t say that it’s alternative, I wouldn’t say that it’s different. Christina’s always been an artist that moves the bar and that’s what the great ones do.

“They don’t stay in the same place for too long and this album is just another move for her. I really feel it’s one of her best bodies of work that I’ve heard since Stripped.”

The LP will be Christina’s fourth studio album, and her first since 2006.

But although the album is almost finished, it won’t be released until next year because Christina is too busy working on new film Burlesque with Cher.

“She’s gonna do the film first,” said Tricky. “She didn’t want to not be able to promote this record because it’s going to be a big record for her.

“The album is finished. She’s mixing. She hasn’t made a final decision about what the first single is, but I know everyone feels good about their options.”

Dennis Hopper Released From Hospital

Dennis Hopper is “feeling much better” after being released from hospital.

The Hollywood legend was rushed to a New York medical center by ambulance Wednesday after he began complaining of stomach problems. The 73-year-old star was wheeled into the hospital wearing an oxygen mask.

Hopper’s manager, Sam Maydew, said the Easy Rider star was treated for dehydration after showing severe flu-like symptoms.

Dennis was in New York to promote his new TV show Crash, which is a new version of the 2004 Oscar-winning movie about racial and social tensions in Los Angeles in which he plays music producer Ben Cendars.

Maydew said Hopper was grateful for the good wishes he had received and looked forward to getting back to work on Crash.

Due to his illness, the actor has been forced to cancel a number of interviews and appearances on TV.

Dennis is known for his prolific film career, having starred in almost 200 movies including Apocalypse Now, Blue Velvet and Rebel Without A Cause.

Kanye West, GaGa ‘Killed Tour Due to Poor Ticket Sales’

Kanye West and Lady GaGa canceled their much-hyped Fame Kills tour because ticket sales “sucked” — and there was lots of bickering behind the scenes, it has been claimed.

The tour — which was to run from November 10, 2009 until January 24, 2010 — was canned Thursday by concert promoters Live Nation.

No official reason was given, but the company said refunds are available at the point of purchase. Tickets purchased online and via phone will be refunded automatically, Live Nation said.

LaurieAnn Gibson, choreographer for the tour later wrote on Twitter, “Fame Kills Tour canceled due to ‘creative differences’.

“A Lady Gaga US tour is happening without Kanye West.”

According to TMZ, poor ticket sales weren’t the only reason the jaunt got scrapped — West and Gaga’s people were at each others throats.

The Poker Face singer then decided she’d be better off playing smaller venues.

Also? Kanye could be heading to rehab.

Britney Spears Buys Two Parakeets

Britney Spears has bought two parakeets.

The Womanizer singer — who finished the North American leg of her tour last weekend — bought the yellow birds during a shopping trip in California this week.

“Britney had just picked up some dog food when she spotted the parakeets and decided to buy a pair,” a source said.

“She settled on yellow parakeets and bought a big, white cage and several toys for the birds.”

Britney purchased the winged creatures at the California Pet Center in Calabasas, and impressed staff by questioning how to care for them properly.

Workers didn’t initially realize it was the 27-year-old singer — who has sons Sean Preston, four, and three-year-old Jayden James with ex-husband Kevin Federline — who was inquiring about the pets.

Store worker Brieanna Kirby told gossip website X17online, “She came in just to buy the birds. She walked in, picked out a cage and set it down on my desk and then took off her glasses and I realized who she was. She was really, really, really nice, asking lots of questions about the upkeep of the birds and how much time and effort it takes to take care of them.

“She talked about the bird needing to be compatible with her family and she wanted a bird that would be easy to handle for her boys — one that wouldn’t bite a finger off. And she liked all the colors.”

Drew Barrymore Bruised Her Leg!

The Hollywood actress — who makes her directorial debut and stars in the movie about a roller derby team — was left black and blue when a training session with Detroit Derby Girls star Racer McChasHer went wrong.

“We were wrestling and rolling around on the track, one of our skates and both our body weights were on my thigh,” Drew said. “I had a bruise that was a foot long and a foot wide. My entire leg was covered.”

However, the star has joked she didn’t mind rolling around with the professional skater.

“I don’t think there’s anything hotter or more fun to do than a girl fight!” she said.

Drew, 34 — who has had an on/off relationship with actor Justin Long — recently insisted she’s in no rush to settle down.

“Sexual love is secondary to me right now,” she said. “I’ve spent a lot of time in my life dedicating myself to love or the pursuit of love or the understanding of love.

Robert Pattinson says there’s something “dark” about Twilight sequel New Moon — because it explores the secrets people have in relationships.

The hunky actor — who is widely rumored to be dating his costar Kristen Stewart — insists the second film in the vampire franchise is “much more masculine” than the first.

“It is a love story, but there is something that gives a darkness to it,” Pattinson said of the film, which hits theaters NEXT MONTH! “I think most people like to have a secret in their relationship with their girl or boyfriend.

“It keeps things exciting. And, honestly, while it’s not an action film, this one is much more masculine. I didn’t feel as though I was doing a girly film and I could relate to this one way more.

“The second was always my favorite book and there is a lot of fighting in that. Also, in this one, what Edward goes through is a lot more relatable for guys, whereas in Twilight, it was quite difficult for me to express it.

“Anyone who has had a relationship break-up will understand if I have done it right.”

Meanwhile, Pattinson’s Twi costar Jack Hudson says the British star is virtually jailed in his hotel.

“I don’t think he gets to hang out with many people because he’s sort of jailed to his room,” Hudson said. “He can’t leave without being follow by a hundred people.

“There’s a price to fame. But hopefully he’s handling it okay.”

Orlando Bloom’s relationship with Miranda Kerr is just fine — despite recent reports to the contrary.

In Touch Weekly magazine claims in its latest issue that the couple were on the rocks because Kerr wants to marry the Pirates of the Caribbean star, 32, and he won’t make the commitment.

Michael Jackson’s father has been banned from a German beer festival because he should not be partying after his “child has passed away”.

Music mogul Joe Jackson requested access to a VIP marquee at Oktoberfest — an annual event which runs for 16 days in Munich — but was refused entry by events organizer Sepp Kratz because he thinks Joe should be mourning the death of his son, who passed away in June.

“Michael Jackson’s father was desperate to have a seat reserved,” Sepp, who has run the Hippodrum tent for 15 years, told German magazine Stern. “I rejected his request immediately. I was really shocked. The man has just buried his son. It’s totally inappropriate to celebrate happily just after your child passed away. That’s just not right. In short, anyone who has no sense of decency isn’t welcome at our place.”

Although Sepp isn’t a fan of Joe, one celebrity he did enjoy having in his tent was Paris Hilton.

“Paris came three years ago,” Sepp said. “She was lucky, she was allowed to enter. She really behaved herself, but I do think she has an ice cold heart.”

Oktoberfest kicked off on September 19 and ends on October 4.

The Invention Of Lying star Ricky Gervais admits he feels “too intimidated” to work with some of Hollywood’s biggest stars.

The actor — who stars alongside Jennifer Garner in his new movie and has previously worked with Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller and Samuel L Jackson — says he would love the chance to share the screen with the likes of Jack Nicholson, Martin Scorsese and Clint Eastwood — but he’s too scared.

“There are people that I want to work with but I’m too intimidated. There are a few people that I’d be worried about working with – the greats: Jack Nicholson, Scorsese and Clint Eastwood,” he said.

“So there are still people out there who intimidate me.

In one message on Twitter, they wrote, “Let’s go Hermione! Lolz,” in reference to her character in Harry Potter.

Another said, “EMMA WATSON HAS BEEN SPOTTED!!!”

The Harvard Voice also posted a picture of Watson on its Web site and proclaimed its stalking mission a “success.”

Some readers were furious. “There is a locatable cause of Watson’s experience at Harvard Stadium and a blameworthy party,” read one online rebuke. “Anybody can do anything unfeelingly to anybody in this day and age, especially if they feel imbued with entitlement from membership in Harvard College.”

The Voice eventually attached an editor’s note to its post of Watson’s photo, saying, “There seems to be much ado about nothing over this photo and liveblog. Understand that these live tweets were made to be intentionally outrageous and overblown.”

Emma, 19, has previously said she wants her time at uni to be as normal as possible.

“Until something comes along that I feel strongly about, like Hermione, I don’t want to act again,” she said in September.

Concert promoters for Live Nation confirmed the cancellation in statement Thursday.

No official reason has been given.

MediaTakeOut reported Wednesday that it was GaGa who wanted to pull out of the tour — not Kanye.

Top Chef host Lakshmi, 39, has struggled for years with endometriosis, a condition that occurs when tissues that line the uterus grow outside the uterus, resulting in painful menstrual cycles and uterine scarring that could lead to infertility. The baby’s father has not been identified and no other details were available.

“Model, author, and Emmy-nominated Padma Lakshmi confirms that she is carrying her first child after years of struggling with endometriosis, a cause for which she has co-founded the Endometriosis Foundation of America,” Padma’s rep said in a statement to Us Weekly magazine Thursday.

“As a result of her condition, this pregnancy has been referred to by her physician as nothing short of a medical miracle, and due to its delicate nature, we ask/implore the press to respect Ms. Lakshmi’s privacy at this time,” the rep continues.

Over the years, Lakshmi has spoken out about endometriosis and, earlier this year, she co-founded the Endometriosis Foundation of America to bring awareness to women who suffer from the same reproductive health issue.

“I’m somebody who never knew I had this condition and always thought that everything was okay,” she said in April. “I found out in a very hard, difficult way — and I had to be operated on. Now, I’m fine but it was a very trying ordeal.”

Lakshmi — who won the Best First Book award for her first cookbook, Easy Exotic, at the 1999 World Cookbook Awards in Versailles, France — split from novelist Salman Rushdie in 2007 after three years of marriage.

John Travolta feels so much guilt over the death of his 16-year-old son Jett, his closest pals fear he could be on the brink of suicide, reports claim.

American tabloid The Globe alleges Travolta has sunk into a deep depression over the past few months, prompting his nearest and dearest to worry about his well being.

Jett died on January 2, 2009 after suffering a seizure at the Travolta family holiday home in the Bahamas.

The Grease star told a court in Nassau, in the Bahamas, Wednesday that paramedic Tarino Lightbourne said he would accuse John of killing Jett unless he handed over $25 million.

Travolta claims Lightbourne threatened to “imply that the death of my son was intentional and I was culpable in some way”.

Lightbourne and his attorney Pleasant Bridgewater are jointly accused of attempting to extort and conspiring to extort by means of threats, charges they both deny.

Travolta has previously told the court how he attempted to save his son’s life after he suffered a seizure.

“I was awakened by my son’s nanny pounding on the door saying Jett was unconscious. I ran downstairs to help my son with my wife. I saw him on the bathroom floor,” he told the jury.

“His other nanny Jeff Kathrein and a woman employee were doing CPR. I took the place of the woman. Jeff was doing compressions and I was doing breathing. I asked if an ambulance had been called and I was told, ‘Yes.’ “

Jackson’s arms were found covered in puncture marks and he had scars on his neck and face.

He had dark tattoos on his eyebrows and around his eyes and a dark tattoo on the front of his scalp, possibly to cover the permanent scarring from burns suffered in the Pepsi mishap.

The report says he was balding and suffered a skin disease.

The report says Jacko’s heart was in a strong condition and he had some arthritis and lung damage, which may have left him short of breath. The report said that none of the conditions Jackson suffered were life-threatening and concluded his death was caused by the powerful painkiller administered to him by his doctor.

The report says Jackson’s stomach had no obvious signs of pills, nor were illegal drugs or alcohol detected.

The Coroner also determined Jackson was actively producing sperm.

Susan Boyle is set to make her first live British TV appearance since finding worldwide fame on Britain’s Got Talent.

The Scottish singing sensation — who wowed US viewers when she appeared on the finale of America’s Got Talent in September — will appear on Simon Cowell’s other UK TV talent show, The X Factor.

“It makes perfect sense and will create a big buzz,” an X Factor insider told UK tabloid the Daily Mirror. “There are two shows to fill on Saturday and Sunday nights now, so they’re also planning guest appearances from previous winners and runners-up as well as celebrity guests.”

Robbie Williams and Alexandra Burke are expected to perform on the first live shows with Whitney Houston and judge Cheryl Cole, who has a solo single out, appearing the following week.

Jon Gosselin’s Erratic Behavior Causes TLC to Suspend Show

Jon Gosselin’s erratic behavior has caused TLC to suspend the network’s Kate Plus 8.

The reality TV star had attempted to shut down production of the show by denying permission to videotape his eight children.

Through his attorney, Mark J. Heller, Jon, 32, wrote two letters to TLC lawyers. In the letters — dated Sept. 29 — Gosselin demanded the network cease and desist production and leave his property.

“Effective immediately, no production crews are to enter Jon’s family home for any reason,” said one of the letters. “In the event that anyone enters the marital property, Jon Gosselin will notify the local authorities to effectuate police action against any trespassers.”

But TLC is striking back.

“We are aware of Jon Gosselin’s recent statements, and remain deeply disappointed at his continued erratic behavior,” the network said in a statement Thursday. “He and the family were shooting as recently as last Friday, without incident, and his latest comments are grossly inaccurate, without merit and are clearly opportunistic.

“Despite Jon Gosselin’s repeated self destructive and unprofessional actions, he remains under an exclusive contract with TLC. Direct filming of the children has been currently suspended, pending further conversations between both parents.”

Meanwhile, Jon is reportedly set to team up with Lindsay Lohan’s dad.

On the track, Britney sings, “Three is a charm / Two is not the same / I don’t see the harm / So are you game?”

The chorus continues, “One, two, three / Not only you and me / Got one eighty degrees / And I’m caught in between.

“Countin’ one, two, three / Peter, Paul and Mary / Getting’ down with 3P / Everybody loves ***.”

The racy song is due to appear on Britney’s upcoming LP The Singles Collection.

This is not the first time Britney’s career has taken a provocative twist.

The 27-year-old star — who as a teenager said she wouldn’t have sex before marriage — is currently on the road with her steamiest world tour to date.

The Circus Starring Britney Spears — which received rave reviews — features skimpy costumes, seductive dance moves, whips, latex and blindfolds.

Robert Pattinson ‘Jailed to His Room’

Robert Pattinson is living the life of a criminal — because he is virtually jailed in his hotel, according to his Twilight costar Jack Hudson.

Hudson says the 23-year-old British hunk — who’s currently in Vancouver, Canada, shooting Eclipse, the third flick in the vampire movie franchise — is pretty much always in his hotel room so he can avoid the paparazzi and mobs of fans.

“I don’t think he gets to hang out with many people because he’s sort of jailed to his room,” Hudson said. “He can’t leave without being follow by a hundred people.

“There’s a price to fame. But hopefully he’s handling it okay.”

Showbiz Spy has previously reported how Pattinson — who is dating his Twi costar Kristen Stewart — had become a prisoner of the paparazzi.

“Every time anyone from the cast emerges from the hotel they’re swarmed by paparazzi,” a Twilight insider said last month.

“He’s a prisoner of the paparazzi. It’s a nightmare. He almost never leaves the hotel except to go to the set. And when he does, the crew has to go great lengths to find ways to transport him from one location to another undetected.

“Because of the paparazzi, Rob has been unable to interact with his many fans.”

Jon Gosselin to Team up With Lindsay Lohan’s Dad?

Jon Gosselin is planning to team up with Lindsay Lohan’s dad — for a new reality TV show, reports claim.

The 32-year-old — who appeared in the TLC show Jon & Kate Plus 8 with wife Kate, 34, and their eight children — is said to be considering his options since he was dropped from the program and has thought about working with Michael Lohan on a new show.

“Jon was taken aback with how quickly everything happened with TLC,” a source revealed.

“They needed to act fast with the ratings slipping, and Kate is the more beloved parent.

“Now that Jon is free to take on a new job, he’s really diving into the idea of The Divorced Dads’ Club with Michael Lohan.

“Michael has been a friend and adviser through the scandal, and they have mutual friends. Their team is eager to capitalise on Jon’s new freedom and lawyers and publicists are working on meetings for Jon. “He’s looking at every opportunity available.”

Selena Gomez can’t decide whether she’s Team Jacob or Team Edward — because she’s a fan of both Twilight stars, Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson!

The Wizards of Waverly Place star, 17, says she isn’t sure if she would pick Jacob Black over his vampire rival Edward Cullen.

“That’s hard,” she said. “I don’t know. I guess it would be Team Jacob because [Taylor] is my friend, but I do like Team Edward.”

Selena recently revealed she hooked up with Lautner earlier this year in Vancouver while he was shooting New Moon and she was filming Ramona and Beezus.

“Kristen Stewart was staying in my hotel. He would visit her, so we were constantly running into each other in the lobby — and we ended up meeting,” she recalled. “We would go out to lunch and dinner, but I knew he had paparazzi following him and I had paparazzi following me. So we literally just wanted to hang out, go bowling and stuff, and it went a little too far, I think. People were getting a little crazy about us.”

“But it was fun — I went to Vancouver thinking I was going to focus on my work, but instead I got to meet him, and it ended up being the best thing ever,” she adds.

“He is so sweet. Taylor has made me so happy. I didn’t know I could be that happy. You probably see it in the pictures! I’m smiling so big.”
